SAPoLSN was established in 2023 by Pierrick Bourrat and Qiaoying Lu. Soon after, Mingjun Zhang and Tung-Ying Wu joined the innitiative. SAPoLNS was developed under the guidance of Professor Chuang Liu (Fudan University/CASIP) and Emeritus Professor Paul Griffiths.
In November 2023, we held our inaugural workshop with the generous funding of Paul Griffiths and the Agency & Ethics Macquarie Centre.
The SAPoLNS is organised around two yearly activities – A summer school organised in turn by Macquarie, Peking and Fudan, and a workshop organised by CASIP.
We aim to mentor a new generation of researchers in philosophy of life sciences and foster collaboration between philosophers working in China and Australia.
