I am a philosopher, specialising in general philosophy of science, history and philosophy of biology, epistemology, metaphilosophy, and philosophy of social science, based at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where I founded the Center for Philosophy of Science and CWB Philosophy of Science Research Group. I am the author and editor of several books, published by Oxford University Press, Routledge, Springer, and Wiley. I also edited special issues of such journals as Synthese, Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, and Metaphyilosophy. My research articles appear in journals including Philosophy of Science, Synthese, European Journal for Philosophy of Science, Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, and Philosophy Compass.

Currently I am the Vice President and Secretary General of The Asian Philosophy of Science Association. I am also serving on the Executive Committee of International Society for the History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Biology, the Steering Committee of the International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science, the Steering Committee of the Asian Network of the Philosophy of the Social Sciences, and the Membership Committee of the Philosophy of Science Association. I am the founding Editor-in-Chief of The Asian Studies in the Philosophy of Science.
