I am a PhD candidate in the Discipline of Philosophy, School of Humanities, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
I am broadly interested in the philosophy of biology, with a particular focus on the application of mathematics. Currently, I am working on mathematical models of social evolution (i.e., the evolution of social behavior). My PhD thesis ‘The inclusive fitness theory, social evolution, and eusociality’ is supervised by Dr. Pierrick Bourrat.
In the long run, I hope to broaden my research beyond evolutionary biology to explore areas such as ecology, systems biology, and paleobiology.
I identify as a logical empiricist. I believe that the ultimate goal of philosophy is to actively contribute to scientific research. I pursue this by solving scientific controversies at the conceptual, theoretical, and methodological levels.
